Jeremy R. Handschuh
Jeremy Handschuh is the managing member of Mitchell - Handschuh Law Group. He dedicates his practice to serving the full range of legal needs of companies in transportation and logistics whose businesses involve the transportation of freight, including brokers, carriers, and shippers.
When asked to describe the firm’s practice, Jeremy’s favorite reply is: “Freight. All about freight. All the time.” His clients sincerely appreciate Jeremy’s in-depth understanding of the industry and of transport operations and logistics. Jeremy assists clients with a diverse range of legal matters throughout the full business cycle, including issues relating to claims and litigation, transportation agreements, and business formation, management, and disputes.
Jeremy developed his extensive knowledge about the freight industry through many years of providing legal services to transportation companies. He started working with transportation company clients of The Mitchell Law Firm in 2011. His relationship with Bruce Mitchell developed over the years. In 2016, Jeremy succeeded Bruce as the firm’s managing member, and the firm became the Mitchell - Handschuh Law Group.
Jeremy’s clients include entrepreneurs, small and mid-sized businesses, and large volume corporations with billions in revenue, including Fortune 500 companies. Many clients have on-going, long-term relationships with Jeremy and the firm. Those relationships are built on a solid foundation of mutual respect and trust, as well as the firm’s commitment to providing high quality, efficient, and cost-effective services to all types of businesses in the transportation industry.
Jeremy always stays current on the latest legal developments affecting clients. He is active in the Conference of Freight Counsel and Transportation Lawyers Association, one of the oldest and most active specialty attorney organizations in the U.S. He co-chairs the TLA’s Business and Commercial Litigation Committee.
Jeremy, his daughters Madelyn and Evelyn, and cat, Coalie, live in Georgia. Jeremy is an avid runner. He and his daughters enjoy spending time together, visiting the park, and going to the beach.
